Michigan Community Action’s Leadership Development Institute (LDI) is being refreshed for 2026 with updated content to better support emerging and mid-level leaders across the Community Action network.
This multi-month program will combine in-person and virtual learning, peer connection, and practical tools to help participants strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of the Community Action mission, and grow their capacity to lead with equity and impact.
Whether you're preparing for the next step in your career or looking to expand your influence in your current role, the 2026 LDI cohort will offer a dynamic and supportive environment to learn, grow, and lead.
Expectations for Attending the Leadership Development Institute
MCA expects Leadership Development Institute (LDI) attendees to come prepared to develop their leadership skills and knowledge. Participants should be open to learning new concepts and strategies, engaging in group discussions and activities, and networking with other professionals. Attendees are also expected to be punctual and respectful towards their peers and instructor. Ultimately, the goal of LDI is to provide attendees with the tools and support they need to become effective leaders in their organizations and communities.
